National Conflict Resolution In Schools Standards

We are passionate that all children learn how to effectively manage conflict. This is a crucial life-skill. It supports wellbeing, self-actualisation and confidence. This in turn reduces staff time spent dealing with low level disagreements, enabling children to concentrate in lessons, reduces bullying and conflict escalation and enhances school values and pupil behaviour.

We want to ensure the highest level of training and support for every school. This is why we have worked incredibly hard to set the standards for Peer Mediation in Schools.

The National Conflict Resolution In School Standards (NCRSS) Accreditation guarantees that both Schools and Training providers are consistently delivering and maintaining the highest level of learning, engagement and knowledge through Peer Mediation Schemes.

We evaluate, assess, award and deliver programmes across the country.

There are three accreditation award levels that schools can achieve:

  • NCRSS Accreditation Bronze award

  • NCRSS Accreditation Silver award

  • NCRSS Accreditation Gold award

Designated point of contact staff and lunchtime support assistants will gain the NCRSS Accreditation Foundation award.

Young people who enrol, successfully complete the learning and move into a Peer Mentor role will achieve the NCRSS Accredited Peer Mediation award.
